Well what a busy Easter for us!
We travelled down to the Londaon area last Monday for Dave's interview (all seemed to go well - he should hear by May 9th if he gets to the next level or not...). Then Tuesday we picked up our trailer load of personal things that we had shipped back in November - it was like Christmas when we finally got open it! Then Wednesday we picked up Tom, Jane, Roadie and Murphy. We are so happy to have Roadie and Murphy with us! They both travelled well - Roadie was a little tired for the first couple of days, but Murphy seemed to take it all in his stride. We have been enjoying showing Tom and Jane some of the local sights, traditions and tastes. They have now travelled to London by train to see some of the sights before travelling back to the States - sadly for them without Roadie and Murphy...
Easter Sunday we went for a beautiful walk in the snow around Tarn Hows near Hawkshead in the heart of the Lake District. Roadie and Murphy were quite funny when they saw the snow, Murphy jumped out of the car and ran around like a mad thing - Roadie jumped out, took one look and jumped right back in the car! We put his jacket on and talked him into coming out for a walk with us and he did quite enjoy it. Mykala enjoyed following the trial of chocolate eggs that the Easter bunny left for her.
Easter Monday we joined some of our family for some traditional pace egg rolling, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids and adults alike.

Well, finally I found a few minutes to sit down and figure out this blogspot thing... I think...
We both wish we had the time to write to you all more personally, but hopefully at least this will help keep you upto speed with us as things are changing soo fast!
We just moved again - we still haven't unpacked our suitcases from the big move! This time we moved into a friends beautiful 5 bedroom barn conversion - its so perfect, a converted barn at the end of a bridlepath (and yes there's a horse here for me to ride!) - unfortunately we only get to live here for a few months...
Our belongings still haven't arrived from the States - they are scheduled to be here March 10th - we'll see...
Both Dave and I have work... Dave has started at "Go Ape" a high wire course in Grisedale forest - he has done the course several times, and yes, he did scare himself! My turn next! Dave also has an interview with the RSPCA March 17th for the position of Insectorate (Animal Control Officer). I'm going to start teaching on a Sunday at Draughton Riding Centre where Kay is an Instructor - It will be the first time in 5 years Kay has had Sunday's off.
We are so excited that Roadie and Murphy will be with us in just a few weeks (Tom and Jane too!), Tom and Jane will be bringing them over for us March 18-19 - can't wait!
I promise I will soon have pictures of the horse and house - meanwhile here are a few more of us out walking. Hopefully now I have this figured out I can update it regularly with news for you all. We do love to hear how you are all doing too!
There are also pics on our picasa web albums some of you may have already seen them...
